Tarrifs on Imported Stainless Steel Kegs from Mexico, Germany and China are in effect, courtesy of the U.S. Government.
However, Schaefer Container Systems is affected only to a limited degree by these governmental actions.
Schaefer Container Systems manufactures diverse products in two factories:
Our first factory manufactures the all-stainless Schaefer SUDEX kegs in the Czech Republic. SUDEX is produced, to Schaefer’s exacting standards, and remains at 0% duty.
The second operation is in Pfanenberg, Germany and is subject to an 8.61% duty. This tariff effects our ECO KEG line of products but ECO KEG is still cost competitive with any manufacturer and they are vastly superior in maintenance costs over the life of the keg.
